To portray smoother cuts, maybe use of transitions such as fades or dissolves, this will eliminate any jumpy cuts that aren't continuous. Thus, cutting each scene/narrative/base track to the lyrics and beat, rather than beats because it would make a lot more sense if the artist finishes singing his lyrics, before cutting. Watch the whole video again, pick out smaller details such as shaky camera movements, which can be solved using a stability option on final cut pro. Also, incorporate some filters to make the video more softer, and balanced as the lighting throughout all the base tracks are very different.
