Setting and Location
We chose three location, Baron's Park in Putney, Gabriel's Wharf and Gallions Hill in Greenwich.
Our group originally had five locations but we chose these three because Barons Park had various settings such as a skate park, fountain, children park and sidewalk besides the Thames that we could incorporate into our music video rather than travel round London to go to the locations we discontinued.
Gabriel's Wharf because the location had a different array of colours that would be difficult to find and we thought it would fit the pop genre of our video and Gallions Hill which we decided to use for our basetrack where the artists is out of character.
Costume
We will have five costume changes in total, three for our artist and two for the female lead.
After discussing it, we decided that our costume choice would incorporate synergy via the artists name so we chose clothes that would have cross designs on it.
Leon Cross Costume One: Shirt, trousers, blazer and bowtie
Leon Cross Costume Two: Casual clothing (Shirt/shirt and leather jacket)
Leon Cross Costume Three: Chinos, panama hat, shirt and braces
Female Lead Costume One: Skating clothing
Female Lead Costume Two: Smart casual
Synergy
Following the conventions of cross media products we will use mainly the visuals of a cross to help consumers associate that our digipak and advert is linked with out artists.
The cross will vary from the design of Leon Crosses logo to the crosses on the clothes he wears _(Braces, shirts etc)
Theory
- Our music follow Goodwin's theory as we show our pop artists as both a narrator and a character, he will often break out of character to sing.
- We plan to have our artists look straight into the camera so it seems like he's looking at the viewer specifically, the will work as a way to attract consumers since they will feel that Leon Cross is singing to them directly.
- We'll follow his theory by having multiple base tracks and relying on that repetition of visuals that will follow the way the song repeats the verses, choruses and bridges.
- We end our MV with closure between the female and male lead, she is no longer playing 'hard to get' and they end up together.
- To attract a wider audience of males, we will use a small amount of the male gaze and dismemberment of the body on the female lead.
